Unbound
(Objective)
A series of design experiments that challenge conventional notions of communication design.
Graphic design transcends traditional formats and established rules, driven by a movement that embraces innovation and pushes the boundaries of what design can be. These poster designs aim to confront and redefine the core principles of visual design.
My process
Research and Inspiration:
Exploring contemporary design theories and gatheing inspiration from artists and cultural critiques that challenge traditional communication methods.
Material and Medium Exploration:
Experimenting with diverse materials and techniques. Creating multiple iterations focusing on composition, color, and typography. Gatheing feedback to refine designs, ensuring they resonate with the "unbound" theme.
Conceptual Framework:
Define core principles for each poster, such as distortion or fragmentation. Integrate storytelling elements to provoke thought and challenge viewer perceptions.
UI/UX Design
Review of the process and gathering audience feedback to assess impact, using insights to inform future projects and continue pushing design boundaries.
How can we challenge and redefine the core principles of visual design?
Core Principles
- Distortion: Exploring how altering form can reshape meaning.
- Fragmentation: Using disjointed elements to create new narratives.
- Layering: Combining visuals and text to evoke complexity and depth.
